Continuing Education
Optometry was the first profession to require its members to obtain education hours in order to renew its license. Georgia ODs must get 36 hours of quality education every two years. 18 hours must be directly related to pharmacology and pathology as related to ophthalmologic conditions. Courses are given by and special thanks to: Georgia Optometric Association, Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, Ciba Vision Corporation, Georgia Retina, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, Bausch & Lomb.
